Cookie policy
Last updated 5 September 2026
The short version.
This site uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies. Some are needed to make the page work. The rest are for analytics and advertising, mostly through the Meta pixel. You can block all of them in your browser and nothing here stops working.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. Similar technologies - local storage, pixels, and tracking scripts - do much the same job in a different way. This page covers all of them, and "cookies" below means the lot.
What this site uses
Strictly necessary.
- Cloudflare hosts and serves this site, and may set a cookie to keep the connection secure and to tell real visitors from bots. Without it the site cannot be served reliably.
Preferences.
- Theme preference. If you change how the site looks, that choice is saved in your own browser's local storage. It never leaves your device and it is not personal information.
Analytics and advertising.
- Meta pixel. A small piece of code from Meta (Facebook and Instagram) that records which pages you looked at and whether you clicked through to checkout or completed a registration. It sets Meta's own cookies, receives your IP address and browser details, and may match that to a Facebook or Instagram account if you have one. This is how I tell whether my ads are working. Theprivacy policy explains exactly what is sent.
Third-party embeds and checkout.
- Wistia serves the video on the home page and sets cookies to remember playback state and measure how much of the video is watched.
- Calendly powers the booking calendar on the confirmation page and sets its own cookies inside that embed.
- Stripe handles payment. When you click a Register or Buy button you leave this site for Stripe's own checkout pages, where Stripe sets cookies for payment processing and fraud prevention. I never see your card details.
These are third-party cookies: they are set by those companies, not by me, and each is governed by that company's own cookie and privacy policy.
Your choices
You are not stuck with any of this. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies - look under Settings for Privacy, Cookies, or Site data, in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge. Tracking-blocker extensions will block the Meta pixel outright. The pages, the video and the checkout link all still work if you do.
For advertising specifically, Meta's ownad settings control how your activity is used to target ads to you. In the US you can also opt out through theDAA orNAI opt-out pages, and in the EU or UK throughYour Online Choices.
Blocking cookies is per browser and per device, and clearing your cookies clears the opt-out signals along with them, so you may need to set it again.
Changes
If what this site loads changes, the new version of this policy goes up on this page with a new date at the top.
